Public Awareness Campaign Kit (PACK)

The Public Awareness Campaign Kit (PACK), titled “Good Water, Good Health, Good Choices” was created to assist public water system personnel and outreach educators in developing new and enhancing existing public awareness efforts. The PACK includes ready-to-use materials and resources, designed to be user-friendly and easy to understand for audiences.

Public awareness is vital to fostering community ownership of the protection of drinking water sources, and, in turn, public health. The PACK is filled with tools to reach the public with this message in various ways.

The kit includes:

• reproducible fact sheets
• sample radio spots
• example news releases
• ideas for community involvement
• ready to use Microsoft PowerPoint(R) presentations
• and more

The PACK is made available to the public at no cost, thanks to funding provided by the Nebraska State Drinking Water Revolving Fund through the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality’s Source Water Protection Program.
