2009 National Conference
After careful consideration and input from many Groundwater Guardian team members, The Groundwater Foundation Executive Committee of the Board of Directors has chosen to forgo a conference in 2009. The Groundwater Foundation conducted a survey of potential conference participants and learned that due to the current economic situation many travel budgets have been cut, making it difficult to attend a national conference. Therefore, we will not hold a conference in 2009 and hope for better economic times in 2010.
However, The Groundwater Foundation Board of Directors and staff remain committed to providing the networking and educational opportunities to our constituents as well as the appropriate recognition for our Groundwater Guardian teams. As such, the Board, staff, and Groundwater Guardian Council are exploring alternate means to provide these services during the year ahead. Any thoughts you may have are also very welcome. Contact us.

"Going Green for Groundwater"
The 2008 Groundwater Foundation National Conference and Groundwater Guardian Designation Celebration will be held at Miracle Springs Resort and Spa in Desert Hot Springs, California, November 18-20.
In a world where going “green” is all the rage, has groundwater been forgotten? The 2008 Groundwater Foundation National Conference will examine the importance of including groundwater in green efforts, opportunities for green groundwater actions, and how to share the message with the community.
Conference topics include: Groundwater Guardian Green Sites, US EPA Water Sense Program, gray water reuse, landscape technologies, stormwater management, pollution prevention, take-back programs, business/industry going green, media challenges and solutions, effective communications, community case studies, and more.
