Groundwater Foundation National Awards Nomination Guidelines

Please include the following information for each award nomination:

1.  Cover Sheet (can be replicated on a computer or printed from the website)

• Name of Award

• Full name of the nominee(s), present position, organizational affiliation, address, telephone number, and e-mail address

• Your name, affiliation, address, telephone number, and email address

 2.  A 250-word description of the groundwater achievement to be recognized and statement of how these efforts meet the award criteria.

3.  Copies of supporting materials (not to exceed 5 pages) which may include newspaper reports, letters from supporters, or other local documents. Materials such as books, binders, videos, maps, etc. will not be forwarded to, or considered by, review and selection committees.

Renomination
Nominations are kept on file for one year. To renominate a candidate, please send a letter requesting resubmission along with additional or updated supporting material (not to exceed 3 pages).

Deadline
Nominations must be received by July 14. Materials received after that date are not eligible for the current year’s award award, but may be retained for consideration the following year. Send nomination to:

Award Presentation
The Groundwater Foundation National Award winners will be selected by a committee consisting of Foundation Directors, Technical Advisors, and/or previous award recipients by September 1. Winners will be honored by The Groundwater Foundation at its Conference or other public event in the fall/winter.
