Community Profile:

Groundwater is the sole source of drinking water for the residents of the Villages of Number Five Mine and London. Some of the groundwater-related concerns for this area include building public awareness and education, transient public (tourists) pollution prevention and conservation. The Villages use the Groundwater Guardian program to educate residents and tourists about the importance of groundwater protection through a variety of public information activities.

Result Oriented Activities:

• Continued local groundwater education and outreach.
• Continued to hold community clean up days.
