Gothenburg, Nebraska

The community of Gothenburg is benefiting from a group of young, inspired students who want to ensure a sustainable supply of groundwater is available for them and for future generations. After learning through The Groundwater Foundation's educational activities, the students participated in school and community events to educate younger students and the larger public about groundwater. They also tool their message to Nebraska state Senators at a networking breakfast meeting of the Nebraska Wellhead Protection Network. The community has several Green Sites participating in the program, and the school is aiming to become a Groundwater Guardian.
