Local Leadership
Groundwater is one of our most valuable, but still misunderstood and underappreciated natural resources. Informed leaders are of vital importance in making decisions and supporting groundwater-related initiatives. Communities in which the leaders have a good understanding and value of water show more interest in, support for, and ultimately, invovlement in protect the source water resources fo their communities.
The Groundwater Foundation encourages community leaders to be well-informed on groundwater and related resources, potential contamination threats, and tools for protecting it.
