Green Sites Have a Positive Impact

On each Green Site application, sites report and environmental impact data related to their maintenance practices. Participating sites have documented impressive positive environmental impact numbers since the program began in 2007.

Participating Green Sites have:

Reduced fertilizer use by 791,291 pounds. The majority of sites base fertilizer amounts on nutrient analysis.

Reduced pesticide use by 33.72%. The vast majority of sites use the recommended application rates.

Saved 448,725,444 gallons of water by tracking usage, modifying practices when necessary, and choosing plants adapted to the region's climate that require lower inputs.
